Kayla Smalley

Senior Digital Content Coordinator, Public Affairs

Kayla Smalley is a senior digital content coordinator in Public Affairs for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she leads the production of a variety of website content and works to continually enhance, develop, and test Kauffman’s web properties, including,, Kauffman Indicators of Entrepreneurship, among others.

Previously, she was a communications coordinator through the AmeriCorps Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) program for LEANLAB Education, where she created social media campaigns to build the nonprofit’s thought leadership, increase event attendance, and reach a national audience. She was also a senior sales ambassador and social media marketer for LUSH Cosmetics.

Smalley earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in creative writing from Kansas State University.
