Becca Castro Instructional and Curriculum Design Specialist of Skilled KC, Skilled KC Technical Institute Becca Castro is an instructional and curriculum design specialist for Real World Learning in Education for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she works closely with subject matter experts from business and industry partners to lead the development of program maps and curriculum that reflects what industry needs in order to align with the most in-demand jobs in the Kansas City region. Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Castro founded Castro Coaching & Consulting, where she provides coaching to individuals in the areas of leadership and performance improvement, as well as learning and development support to organizations. Earlier, Castro was a training manager for Northrop Grumman, where she served as the project manager for external and internal learning and development projects, as well as conducted needs assessments and worked with stakeholders to determine performance improvement strategy. Castro has presented at various conferences, including Women in Leadership Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Workforce2030 Conference. Castro has a Doctor of Education in curriculum and instruction with a focus on adult learning from Northern Arizona University, a Master of Arts in organizational learning and instructional technologies from University of New Mexico, and a Bachelor of Science in public relations from the University of Central Missouri. She has a graduate certificate in women’s and gender studies from Northern Arizona University and a professional coach certificate from the University of Miami.
